Miroslava Brooks is a founding partner of FORMA, licensed architect in New York, Connecticut and Ohio, and faculty at the Yale School of Architecture, where she has continuously taught graduate design studios and representation courses since 2014. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and earned a Master of Architecture from Yale University where she was awarded the Gertraud A.Wood Fellowship and the William Wirt Winchester Travelling Fellowship. Prior to founding FORMA, Miroslava worked at Eisenman Architects in New York, Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects in Connecticut, and Jerome Scott Architects in Ohio, and collaborated on the 2013 Latrobe Prize-winning City of 7 Billion research project won by Plan B Architecture and Urbanism. In 2018, she was selected by the Yale School of Architecture’s graduating class to be awarded the Professor King-lui Wu Teaching Award.
Daniel Markiewicz is a founding partner of FORMA, licensed architect in New York and Connecticut, and faculty at the University of Pennsylvania School of Design, where he teaches graduate architectural design studios. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an architectural focus at Princeton University and his Master of Architecture at the Yale School of Architecture where he was awarded the H.I Feldman Prize and William Wirt Winchester Travelling Fellowship. Prior to founding FORMA, Daniel was an Associate at Diller Scofidio + Renfro Architects. He is a founding member and a current editor of PROJECT, a journal for architecture, published and distributed annually since 2012. He has been recognized by the Graham Foundation for PROJECT (2015, 2017), Wallpaper* Magazine Design Awards (Next Generation Designers’ 2012) and Kohn Pederson Fox Traveling Fellowship (Finalist 2010).
